COLUMBUS GROVE, Ohio (WLIO) — Elida pushed Norwalk to the limit in a thrilling Division III district final, but came up short in overtime, falling 51-43.

Early in the game, Lexie Good grabbed a rebound and scored a putback to give Elida the lead. The Bulldogs responded with sophomore Peyton Burden hitting a corner three to tie the game at 15.

Emma Mitchell worked through traffic for two of her game-high 19 points, helping Elida take a 19-18 lead into halftime.

In the second half, Claire Dingledine nailed a three-pointer for Elida, finishing with 11 points and giving the Bulldogs a four-point advantage. But Norwalk battled back, forcing a tie at 36 and sending the game into overtime.

Late in the game, Shay Rager hit a key jumper at the charity stripe for Elida, keeping the Bulldogs within striking distance. Despite their efforts, Norwalk pulled ahead in overtime to claim the 51-43 victory.
