FINDLAY, Ohio (WLIO) — The University of Findlay men’s basketball team capped off a successful doubleheader with a 93–81 win over Northwood, extending its strong stretch of play.
The Oilers entered the matchup having won four of their last five games and carried that momentum into game two of the night. In the first half, Antwerp graduate Jagger Landers was on the receiving end of the pick-and-roll and finished at the rim. The senior scored 11 points on the day.
Findlay continued to attack offensively as Javonte Hill, a Findlay High School graduate, cut to the basket and converted a tough layup. The sophomore followed that up moments later by knocking down a corner three, scoring five straight points for the Oilers.
Later in the half, with Findlay holding a four-point lead, Mason Brandt delivered the highlight of the night, throwing down an alley-oop. The Leipsic graduate led all Oilers with 16 points.
Findlay maintained control down the stretch and pulled away late to secure the 12-point victory. With the win, the Oilers improved to 3–1 in conference play.
