LIMA, Ohio - The Lima Locos exploded offensively Friday, defeating the Southern Ohio Copperheads 23-4 in a weather-shortened game at Simmons Field.
Cameron Greene drove in two runs with a first-inning single before adding a three-run home run as part of a 10-run second inning. Grant McGuire and Elijah Buffaloe also contributed RBIs during the offensive outburst.
On the mound, Wapakoneta graduate Grant Jolly struck out 10 batters over five innings, including striking out the side in the second. The Locos added eight more runs in the sixth before the game was called due to weather.
