NEW BREMEN, Ohio (WLIO) — In our Football Friday Night spotlight game, Marion Local and New Bremen squared off in a battle of unbeatens.
The Flyers entered with 68 straight victories, and the last team to hand them a loss was the Cardinals back in 2020.
New Bremen came out firing as Caleb Keller took the opening kickoff to the house, giving the Cardinals an early 7–0 lead. Marion Local quickly responded.
Brennen Hess handed off to Kamden Eifert, who powered his way into the end zone to tie things up. From there, it was all Flyers.
In the second quarter, Hess connected with Cale Nagel for a six-yard touchdown to give Marion Local the lead.
Hess and Nagel would hook up twice more in the second half, including a 66-yard strike to seal the game.
Final Score: Marion Local 40, New Bremen 7. The Flyers improve to 5–0 and extend their winning streak to 69 games.
