MILLER CITY (WLIO) — Miller City protected its home floor in a non-conference matchup, turning back GMC runner-up Ayersville 66-56.
The Wildcats opened fast behind Grady Troyer and Henry Rump, jumping out to a 6-0 lead. Ayersville responded with strong interior play from Dane Ewers and a pair of buckets from Dylann Dunn to briefly grab a second-quarter edge.
But Miller City kept finding answers, as Troyer knocked down another three and Jonny Pester (pee-ster) converted at the line to help the Wildcats regain control and close it out.
