MCCOMB (WLIO)— Pandora-Gilboa secured its first conference win of the season with a 3-1 victory over McComb in Blanchard Valley Conference volleyball.
The Rockets built early momentum behind senior Neveaha Alvarado, who dropped an ace to give them a 10-7 lead in the first set. McComb tried to rally as Shelby Hassan set up Morgan Kern for a spike, and Addison Krassow added a cross-court kill to keep the Panthers alive.
McComb took the third set 25-18, but Pandora-Gilboa responded by closing out the match behind sophomore Claire Osting, who put away the final point to seal the win.
The Rockets improve to 4-2 overall and 1-1 in the league, while McComb moves to 2-1.
