SPENCERVILLE — Defense dominated the night as Spencerville and Kalida played to a 0-0 draw in girls soccer.
Both goalkeepers delivered standout performances to keep the game scoreless. In the first half, Kalida’s Sophia Fersch came up with a key save to deny the Bearcats an early lead.
The defensive duel continued into the second half, with Spencerville’s Jenna Wannemacher making a diving stop to keep the Wildcats off the board. With just over 10 minutes to play, Fersch secured another save in heavy traffic off a corner kick to preserve the shutout.
Neither side could break through, as the match ended in a scoreless stalemate.
