ST. HENRY, Ohio (WLIO) — Another ranked matchup highlighted Friday night in the Midwest Athletic Conference as Division VII No. 4 St. Henry hosted Division VI No. 7 Anna.
Defense dominated the opening quarter, but Charlie Werling broke free for a nice pickup to get the Redskins going.
Anna’s defense responded, with Nolan Wilt bringing down Werling for a loss, and later TJ Roberts breaking up a fourth-down pass to keep the game scoreless.
St. Henry wouldn’t stay quiet for long. Will Speck took a handoff and tossed it back to Werling, who aired it out to Carter Laguire wide open for the touchdown.
The Redskins carried that momentum the rest of the way. Final Score: St. Henry 28, Anna 7.
The Redskins hold strong at home and improve their record while Anna takes its first MAC loss of the season.
