COLUMBUS, Ohio (WLIO) — Two-time Olympic medalist Butch Reynolds made a stop in the state capital, meeting with the Association of Black Journalists in Columbus.

The former Ohio State Buckeye sprinter sat down with Your News Now’s Dewayne Scott to share his story. Reynolds spoke candidly about his decorated track career and the challenges he faced, including the false steroid allegations that rocked his life and career in 1990.

Reynolds, who won silver and gold medals in the 1988 Seoul Olympics, has continued to use his platform to inspire athletes and young professionals. His visit in Columbus gave journalists and community members a chance to hear his personal perspective on perseverance and resilience.

The discussion was part of an ongoing effort by the Association of Black Journalists to highlight prominent figures who have made an impact both on and off the field.
