WAPAKONETA — Wapakoneta extended its unbeaten season with a 41-16 win over Shawnee in a Division III playoff matchup on Friday night.
Quarterback Caleb Moyer got the Redskins rolling in the first quarter, setting up his own short touchdown run for a 6-0 lead. Later in the second, he connected twice with Ohio commit Kaden Page — once from two yards out and again on a 24-yard strike — to push the advantage to 20-3.
Shawnee’s JJ Spyker provided a spark before halftime, scrambling deep into Wapakoneta territory and finishing the drive with a 3-yard touchdown to cut the deficit. But Wapakoneta dominated the second half, scoring 21 unanswered points to seal the win.
The Redskins advance to face Toledo Central Catholic in the next round.
