Waynesfield-Goshen softball erupts early to snap skid against Perry

WAYNESFIELD (WLIO) — Waynesfield-Goshen broke out in a big way to end its losing streak, defeating Perry 16-6 in five innings.
Perry’s Kierra Woods recorded four strikeouts in the game, including a called third strike in the opening inning.
The Lady Tigers struck first when Arya Sneary blooped a hit over third base, allowing Savannah Spillis to score. Cassidy Valenti followed with a base hit to left to bring home another run.
Waynesfield-Goshen broke the game open in the inning, scoring eight runs, highlighted by Makenna Shaw’s two-run triple.
The Lady Tigers stayed in control the rest of the way to secure the run-rule victory.
