Allen County Auditor explains property tax delays, new inflation cap credit

Allen County property owners can expect their delayed second-half tax bills to arrive in the coming weeks with a new payment deadline of Aug. 12 due to changes under House Bill 186. Eligible taxpayers may receive an Inflation Cap Credit that will reduce certain school taxes, returning an estimated $3.6 million to Allen County property owners.
