The veterans left Lima on Tuesday afternoon to join other veterans at Toledo Airport for an honor flight trip to the nation's capital. The trip recognizes each of them for their service to the country by taking them to various monuments and ceremonies. The veterans are really glad to take part in this special one-day trip.

"I am really excited because I always wondered why they didn't honor the Koreans as much. But they picked it up and started doing it. I guess it's wonderful now," says Edward Klingler, Army Korean War Veteran. "I am looking forward to it,"

"Oh gosh, number 1 meeting a lot of the veterans. The comradery of the trip and if you will the enjoyment of the monuments," says Tom Reese, Army Vietnam War Veteran.

We asked the veterans how they felt about going on the honor flight trip.

"Privileged I guess," adds Reese. "Yeah, yeah pretty proud of it."

"I am feeling great," adds Klingler. "87 years old, I guess I need to feel great if I am going on this, a lot of walking. But yes, I am thankful we are doing it and God Bless the USA."

Nearly 90 veterans in total will leave Toledo on the final trip of the year for the Flag City Honor Flight.
