21st annual Senior Historical Walking Tour held in Delphos

A yearly tradition for high school seniors continued Wednesday in Delphos.

The Historical Walking Tour has been held for the last 21 years and is put on by the Delphos Rotary Club, the Delphos Canal Commission, and the Delphos Postal Museum. Seniors from both Delphos high schools plus Vantage Career Center walked through several historical sites and buildings, to get a look at the history of the town first hand. The idea is to allow the students to see some of the lesser known parts of town while they're still in school.

"For those that are going to be leaving us, they can take Delphos with them, those that are going to be here, they know what Delphos is," said JoAn Smith, Rotary Tour Chairperson. "We’ve got these great old buildings, the architecture, and a lot of them have never even looked up to see what’s there."

The students also rode buses for a historic drive around town in the afternoon.
