SHAWNEE TWP, (WLIO) -Β 1200 local 9th and 8th grade students found out what Apollo Career Center is all about. Students from their 11-member school districts visited the career center to learn about the various programs that they offer. The students were able to sample a variety of programs through hands-on learning in areas like healthcare and robotics. The school promotes hands-on activities when the students visit the school to give them a better understanding of what they could be in store for.

βIt gives that experience of hands-on to know and understand about the program. So, that way they can make those decisions about their future to decide what career path they want to take,β says Jamie Buell, Apollo School Counselor and Admissions Coordinator. βI hope that something sparks their interest and they kind of find out what they want to do with their future and that light bulb comes on to start planning for the next steps.β

The students will visit Apollo again when they are Sophomores before they have to make the decision if they will future their education at the career center.
