LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) – TEDx Faurot Park continues to bring new and unique ideas to Lima through its annual speaking series.

Out of 100 applicants, six speakers from across the United States were selected to share talks on a variety of subjects, including how art can communicate and activate a community, how to face aging with dignity, honesty and grace, and how A.I. is subtly compromising what makes us human. TED talks are usually held in larger cities, and organizers are pleased to offer this unique experience to local residents, helping them explore new ways of thinking.

“The whole purpose of TED and TEDx is ideas worth spreading. So, it's just thinking about ideas in different ways, hearing new ideas, being challenged, questioning things. It's all about just entering into new worlds," said Aimee Bucher, executive producer of TEDx Faurot Park.

TEDx Faurot Park is seeking a new executive producer to continue the Lima-based event next year.
