SHELBY COUNTY, Ohio (WLIO) - A Sidney woman was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash Saturday night. The crash happened just before 7:30 in the 2900 block of Mason Road, northwest of Sidney. According to a sergeant from the Shelby County Sheriff's Office, the 28-year-old driver of a Honda Accord was traveling east on Mason Road, when she lost control and went off the north side of the roadway, striking a tree in the yard of a residence head-on. The homeowner heard the crash and aided the victim until Fire and EMS crews from Sidney and Anna arrived. The woman was the only occupant in the car; CareFlight flew her from the scene to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. Deputies say she sustained serious, but not life-threatening injuries. The crash remains under investigation by the Shelby County Sheriff's Office.
