The Area Agency on Aging 3 held a meeting Wednesday morning to discuss transportation solutions in our area.
Members of the public as well as transportation providers and other organizations within Allen, Auglaize, Mercer, and Van Wert counties met in Lima to talk about some of the unmet transportation needs in the area.
The meeting began the process to develop a new action plan through 2022, to better meet the transportation needs for older adults and those with disabilities, and solving issues that continue to change over time.
"Transportation is always an issue and everybody has different ideas and concerns, so having this opportunity to bring everybody together and talk about it is a good way for us to kind of pull some ideas together and ways that we can solve some of those problems," said AAA3 Mobility Director Beca Sheidler.
Another transportation meeting will be held on July 17th.
