Air Force One lands in Allen County for Presidential visit

Dozens of people gathered at the Allen County Airport as Air Force One arrived Sunday evening.

The plane touched down around 5:30 p.m., bringing President Donald Trump to our area for the second time in the last six months. The President then joined a motorcade to travel over to Auglaize County for the main event of his visit in Wapakoneta.

Getting the chance to see the President arrive struck a chord with some of the people that were waiting for him at the airport.

"Your little guys have to be able to have the opportunity to know him, meet him, see him, kind of like a hands-on thing, you have to try him out," said Chris Lonagie. "It's pretty important that he comes out in a good mood, he's going to go see something that's going to be fabulous for the country."

The President's first trip to West-Central Ohio was back in March to visit the Joint Systems Manufacturing Center.
