Allen Lima Leadership hold graduation ceremony honoring their 36th class

LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Allen Lima Leadership held its graduation ceremony, recognizing the 36th class to go through the program.

The organization's mission is to help train and develop people to become committed leaders who will make a positive difference within their community.

Each graduate attended a course once every month beginning last September before completing the program the following spring.

Among the night's festivities, alumni from past classes were honored, as was the introduction of the next class coming in.

"Basically, the connections—reaching out or meeting new individuals that I am able to reach out to and connect with. For example, we got to go with the Lima Police Department and take a tour, so I do fraud at Superior Credit Union, and I run the Fraud Department. So, reaching out with those connections to try to help out the community with different things that we are seeing with the different aspects of fraud, it's kind of nice to have that connection of people to reach out to," explained graduate Jessica Holliday.

"I am our sports medicine manager at Mercy Health St. Rita's, so I oversee all of our athletic trainers at all of our community schools. This program was really awesome in helping me piece together just learning more about our community, as well as the community work that I already do and all of the school partnerships that I already work in. Putting those two things together is really going to be great for me continuing to network, learn things, and grow moving forward," added graduate Eric Ondrus.
