LIMA, Ohio – The Allen County Board of Developmental Disabilities is sponsoring the 27th Annual Chicken Barbecue on Thursday, October 2nd, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Allen County Board of Developmental Disabilities' offices located at 2500 Ada Road, Lima, OH.
The menu includes ½ Romer's barbecue chicken, baked potato, green beans, roll and cookie. All dinners are carry-out only and will be available from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Deliveries must be arranged prior to the day of the barbecue and will be available to businesses from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Money raised during the event will be used for the Capital Restroom Project at the All-Ability Playground at 2500 Ada Road, which will fund a restroom and drinking fountains by the playground.
The Allen County Board of Developmental Disabilities provides services to more than 1000 individuals with disabilities and their families in Allen County. It is the organization's mission to reduce barriers, ensure supports and expand meaningful community involvement for the individuals served. The driving forces behind these efforts are the agency's volunteer board members, as well as staff, families, Early Intervention, other affiliated agencies, advocates and the individuals served by the organization.
