LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — If you missed the launch of Downtown Lima Inc.'s new monthly event, “3rd Thursdays,” in June, you’ll have another chance to join the fun this week.
The second installment of the series takes place this Thursday, and organizers are inviting the community to experience an evening filled with food, shopping, and entertainment in downtown Lima.
Downtown Lima Inc. officials say last month’s kickoff event was a big success, drawing more than 300 attendees to the variety of activities.
This Thursday’s event will include the return of the Farmers Market, the Buckeye Cruisers “Cruise-In,” “Shop 'Til You Drop” opportunities at local stores, and the popular “Taste of Downtown” $5 samplers.
“I really think people underestimate the taste of downtown,” said Cricket Rodriguez. “We have restaurants who are really offering great items for only $5, so you can come down with your spouse, with a friend, with your family, and walk around and get to try samples of folks’ menu for only $5.”
While the format will remain consistent each month, organizers say attendees can expect new experiences with different bands, vendors, classic cars, and food options at each event.
To help visitors get around, the RTA will offer free trolley rides between activities.
