ALLEN COUNTY, Ohio (WLIO) – American Township fire crews and the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to a car-versus-semi crash on U.S. Route 30 on Monday evening.
Around 6 p.m., a car and a semi collided at the intersection of U.S. Route 30 and Wapak Road. The driver of the car was transported to Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center. The severity of the driver’s injuries is unknown. The semi driver refused transport. Fuel leaked from the semi but was quickly contained, and the Allen County EMA was called to assess the situation. Details about how the crash occurred have not been released. The State Highway Patrol is investigating.
