FINDLAY, Ohio (WLIO) — Ohio continues to be a prime location for business as Site Selection Magazine releases its list of top micropolitan areas for 2024.

Findlay remains the No. 1 micropolitan in the country for the 11th consecutive year, with 24 investment projects in 2024. 

The federal government defines micropolitan areas as cities with populations between 10,000 and 50,000 people. Qualifying projects must have an investment of $1 million or more, create at least 20 new jobs, or involve the construction of a building or addition of 20,000 square feet or more.

Ohio leads the nation with 20 cities on Site Selection’s list, totaling 135 qualifying projects. Other local cities included in the ranking are Celina, Van Wert, Bellefontaine, Defiance and Sidney.

Over the past 11 years, Findlay has attracted more than $2.5 billion in investments and created 9,300 jobs.
