LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Lima Police are investigating a shots fired call that occurred in the early morning hours of the Fourth of July.
Officers reported hearing multiple gunshots around 1 a.m. near the intersection of Kibby and Main streets. After investigating, officers determined that approximately 30 rounds were fired from what appeared to be an automatic or modified semi-automatic handgun in the parking lot of the Bite and Buzz Bar. It is believed that no one was hit during the shooting.
When officers arrived, both the suspect and the intended victim had already left the scene. However, "thanks to witnesses and video of the incident they were able to identify a possible shooter and victim."

On 7/4/2025, shortly after 1:00 a.m., several shots were heard by officers, in the area of Kibby/Main Streets in Lima. Lima Police Patrol Officers responded to that location and found that at least 30 shots were fired from an automatic, or modified semi-automatic handgun, in the parking lot of Bite and Buzz Bar, located at 701 S. Main Street, in Lima. The suspect and victim of the crime had already fled the area. Patrol Officers conducted a preliminary investigation and located video of the incident and cooperative witnesses. They were able to cultivate a possible victim and shooter during the preliminary investigation, and detective's were called to respond and were able to generate a possible motive. No names are being released at this time, and this investigation is still under investigation. No one is believed to have been shot during the incident.
