LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - Many Easter egg hunts happened Easter weekend, one being hosted by a Hand to Help.

Formally known as the Fresh-n-Faded team outreach, a hand to help scattered eggs within alleys of downtown Lima to bring kids some Easter joy. This marks their 7th annual Easter egg hunt at their location. Many eggs had candy, some had prizes, and a few golden eggs held cash. A booth was also set up with different Easter goodies that each child could take home. Organizers say hosting this brings out different families and gives them an annual event to look forward to.

"The community is so far apart and we're trying to bring it together and give people a reason to continue to go on and something to look forward to every month. We do monthly events here, something to look forward to, a reason to meet each other, to get out, and network and just to do something positive for our community," says Tamara Young, co-founder of a Hand to Help.

Their next event will be held April 19th for 4-1-9 day. They hope to see you there.
