LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - Hot Head Burritos, a Dayton-based chain, is expanding its reach across Northwest Ohio.
Founded in 2007, the company has grown to 63 stores in Ohio and 87 nationwide with their newest location in Lima. After their debut in Wapakoneta in 2024, co-franchisees Brad Wright and Travis Donley said they wanted to bring a store closer to home.
"I used to own the Pony Keg here in town, and I sold that right at the start of 2022, decided to take a couple months off to figure out what I wanted to do, and ran into the opportunity to purchase the Hot Head burritos franchise," said Wright.

"Godfather's Pizza, which is what this building used to be, was my first job ever as a kid," said Donley. "I'm a Lima guy, I graduated from Lima Senior. With this being my first job in this building when it was Godfather's, it's really neat for me, and I just really love the city of Lima and want to bring some good food to it."
The Wapakoneta location currently employs 12 people, while the Lima location is set to hire 30. Right now, they're only accepting in-store orders, but expect to roll out online, phone, and DoorDash orders within the next two to four weeks.
