Now, the foundation is focusing on raising money for state-of-the-art equipment aimed at improving cancer diagnosis and treatment capabilities.
“We are proud to partner with the hospital to really help bring some of those emerging technologies to the forefront of our tool kit for our providers to ensure we have the best diagnostic and treatment capabilities available to our community," said LaShae Burwell, director of the Lima Memorial Foundation.
“At the foundation, we were able to raise funds to be able to do the emerging technologies to be in the situation to keep healthcare local and being the only locally owned and controlled health system, it's so important for us to make sure we give back to the community, because that's who we are. We're part of the community," said Mike Swick, CEO of Lima Memorial Health System.
The foundation’s other major fundraiser is its Journey event, which is held each fall.
