Lima Memorial recognizes staff members for dedication and compassion

LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Lima Memorial Health System recognized 14 associates during National Hospital Week as part of its annual Champions of Great Care program.

Hospital officials said the employees were nominated by co-workers and patients for their dedication, compassion and commitment to patient care. The associates honored represent several departments across the health system.

Officials said the recognition is an opportunity to highlight employees who consistently go above and beyond in their roles.

“I'd like to recognize them 52 weeks out of the year, but this is that special week where we get people that are nominated for great care, and we appreciate the gratitude and the support that they provide us every year for great care is just amazing, but it's great to have them nominated by a group of their peers, which means they're the best of the best. Now that everyone's not great around here, but it's great to be able to single out a few every year to thank them for what they do. We really appreciate everything they do," said Mike Swick.
