LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) – The City of Lima is pushing back against false claims circulating online about the community’s drinking water.

City officials said they are aware of rumors suggesting that Lima’s water supply is contaminated. They stressed that “this information is completely false and has no basis in fact.”

“The safety and quality of our drinking water remains our highest priority. If an issue were ever to arise, the City would immediately notify the public through official channels,” officials said in a statement. “We also want to remind the community of the dangers of misinformation. Sharing unverified claims can cause unnecessary concern and confusion. We encourage all residents to rely on official City updates and trusted news outlets for accurate information.”
