LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - The Lima Police Department is continuing its efforts to strengthen relationships with the community.
At a recent meeting of the Lima Kiwanis Club, Lima Police Lieutenant Ben Thompson spoke about his role within the department and the mission of the LPD. Thompson serves in multiple capacities, including SWAT team commander, grant writer, and community liaison.
“The community is everything. Without the community, we couldn't do our job. So if we create a good relationship with the community, they can help us. We can help them. It's a win, win relationship,” Thompson said.
