LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — The City of Lima is now accepting applications for seasonal positions to support parks and recreation programs this summer.
Open positions include playground leaders as well as ball diamond and parks maintenance crew members. Applicants must be at least 16 years old, and those applying for maintenance positions must also have a valid driver’s license. City officials say the seasonal roles are essential to ensuring parks remain safe, clean and welcoming throughout the busy summer months.
“Making sure that we have the staff to continue to keep those areas nice and clean and looking good. And then again, our playground program is such a virtual part of the city of Lima and so making sure that we can get enough staff to hopefully get multiple parks again this year, so that we can impact more kids,” said Kelsey Pughsley of Lima Parks and Recreation.
Applications are available on the City of Lima’s website under the Parks and Recreation tab.
