Virgo Lee, who plays Tracy Turnblad, described her character as an activist. "Tracy Turnblad is definitely an activist. She believes that everybody should be able to dance together on TV, no matter their skin color, no matter their weight, hair, whatever," Lee said.

Director Amy Phillips expressed her pride in the cast's progress. "Watching them blossom into those roles has just been really fun. And I'm always amazed by their talent and their capacity to learn and become these parts," Phillips said.

Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults. The shows will be held on Friday, February 28, and Saturday, March 1, both at 7 p.m. in the Joe Henderson Auditorium at Lima Senior High.
