The breakfast is set for Monday, Jan. 19, at 8 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial Civic Center.
Christian musician Lauren Daigle is set to take the stage Saturday, Aug. 16, at 8 p.m. at the Allen County Fairgrounds.
Jones has been personally surprising local teachers and support staff across Lima with invitations to the banquet, offering them a night of recognition for their dedication and service.
Presale tickets are now available for $15, which includes a choice of ham or chicken, baked potato, applesauce, a roll, and a Little Debbie snack. Tickets purchased on the day of the event are $16. The dinner is drive-thru only and will be held Sunday, June 8 at Apollo Career Center.
Only 240 entry tickets will be sold. Each $40 ticket includes light hors d'oeuvres, a drink ticket, one paddle valid for 20 auction rounds, and the opportunity to win prizes such as designer purses, electronics, date nights, and more. Additional paddles will be available for purchase at the event.
In addition to the regular concert series, the band will offer three free community concerts over the summer. A full schedule of performances is available on their website at limaareaconcertband.org.
The event, now in its fifth year, is an independent TED Talk, growing each year. The speakers have no hidden agenda, simply aiming to share ideas and inspire others.
The event will feature games such as “The Right Price” and “Final Feud,” giving contestants the chance to take the stage for a nostalgic and entertaining evening. Proceeds will support various Downtown Lima Inc. initiatives aimed at enhancing the city’s downtown area.
"Children are just so receptive to anything new, and they're naturally curious," Crust said. "They have so many questions about the instruments, and when we play music for them, their first instinct is to dance or move."
