LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - Lima police say a woman was taken into custody Tuesday night following a reported shooting and standoff at an apartment complex.
Officers were called around 9:30 pm to 1112 Knollwood Drive for a welfare check on a female resident after a caller reported hearing gunshots. Jail records show that 23-year-old Honesty Barnett has been booked on charges of improperly discharging a firearm at or into a habitation.

Witnesses told officers Barnett fired shots into a neighboring apartment before retreating back into her own unit. Police later determined the woman also struck windows and walls with an unknown object.
The Lima Police Department SWAT Team and Hostage Negotiation Team were called to the scene. After several hours attempting to make contact with Barnett, officers obtained a search warrant.
