LIMA, Ohio– McDonald's Owner/Operators in the Lima area will be raising funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Northwest Ohio and Ronald McDonald House Charities Dayton on August 8. During the RMHC® Digital Day, local RMHC Chapters will earn 20 percent of all sales purchased through the McDonald’s app.
This fundraiser is just one way McDonald’s Owner/Operators in the Lima area support families being served by their local Ronald McDonald House®. Each locally owned McDonald’s restaurant is connected to a RMHC Chapter that will receive 20% of digital sales on August 8.
The mission of RMHC is to provide essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families, and promote healing when children need healthcare. Each RMHC Chapter strives to keep families together and near the care their children need, recognizing the emotional and financial strain that serious illness can place on families.
“It’s an honor to provide support to our local Ronald McDonald House Charities Chapters from Shamrock Shake sales in the spring to the Round-Up for RMHC program and more,” said Lima area McDonald’s Owner/Operator Jonathan Lewis. “Our hope is that our local communities will come out to support the needs of families who are away from their homes providing medical care for their children. The success of this RMHC Digital Day will allow families to feel supported without worrying about costs associated with finding a place to stay.”
Each McDonald’s Restaurant location will donate a minimum of $250 to the RMHC Chapter.
“Our local McDonald’s Owner/Operators, their crew and customers have always been champions for the work we do at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Ohio,” said Chad Bringman, executive director of RMHC of Northwest Ohio. “We are grateful to the operators for sharing a portion of their revenues on August 8 to help us serve the families needing support.”
The McDonald’s app is available for download in the Apple App Store and the Android Google Play Store. With the McDonald’s app, customers get access to exclusive deals, they can order ahead and pass the line with Mobile Order & Pay, plus they can join MyMcDonald’s Rewards to earn points on every order to redeem for free McDonald's.
As always, customers can customize their orders to match their personal taste preferences, including asking for no onions or pickles, or holding the sauce on their favorite burger.
