LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — The City of Lima's annual Mayor’s Spring Cleanup program is set to resume this weekend after taking Memorial Day weekend off, giving residents another opportunity to dispose of unwanted items and continue their spring cleaning efforts.
City officials will have dumpsters available at six locations throughout Lima to provide convenient disposal options for residents.
The cleanup initiative has already seen strong participation during its first two weekends. According to city officials, 521 residents have taken advantage of the program, contributing 403 loads of material that filled 42 dumpsters.

In addition to household items and debris, crews have collected 820 tires and removed three truckloads of brush during the cleanup effort.
The annual program is designed to help residents clear unwanted items from their properties while promoting cleaner neighborhoods throughout the city.
Officials encourage residents who have not yet completed their spring cleaning, or who still have additional items to dispose of, to take advantage of the remaining cleanup weekends and available dumpster locations.
