LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Mercy Health Saint Rita's is continuing its efforts to support the local community through its Club 129 initiative, a whole-health program targeting residents in Census Tract 129, located just north of the medical center.
Club 129 aims to remove barriers that may prevent residents from achieving their best lives. As part of this effort, the initiative has launched the "Pop Out Party" series, a set of informational sessions designed to provide valuable resources and guidance to the community.
The first event in the series, titled "Home Ownership Explained," will take place this Saturday. Financial and real estate professionals will be on hand to educate attendees about homeownership, regardless of their current stage in the process.
"We want people to understand what resources are available to them, regardless of where they are in the process," Tyler Smith, director of community health, said. "Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with professionals for personalized guidance."
The "Pop Out Party" series will be held at the Lima Public Library on the third Saturday of every month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Future topics in the series include cardio health, stroke prevention, financial success, and healthy eating.
