LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) – Mercy Health St. Rita’s President Ronda Lehman encouraged business professionals to focus on their current roles rather than the one they're aspiring for during Wednesday’s “Women in Business” program.

Lehman, the Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce’s 2025 Athena Award recipient, shared her personal journey to becoming the head of the medical center. Speaking to local businesswomen and men, she reflected on stories from her childhood through college and beyond, emphasizing the importance of relationships and staying true to oneself.

Lehman, the Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce’s 2025 Athena Award recipient, shared her personal journey to becoming the head of the medical center.

“I think one of the things that I really try to practice in my role is humility and being vulnerable and recognizing that I don't have all the answers, and you don't actually have to have all the answers,” Lehman said. “But surrounding yourself with a wonderful team, being able to kind of admit when you're stuck or when you need some help, I think, is the key to success.”

“Women in Business” is a quarterly program sponsored by the Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce. The next luncheon will be the annual “Jollification” Christmas edition on Dec. 11.
