LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Ohioans headed to the polls Tuesday for the partisan primary election to determine candidates for the November midterm election, along with several local issues on the ballot.

At one polling location serving multiple precincts in Bath Township, election workers reported a steady flow of voters throughout the day. Residents in the area are also weighing in on a proposed bond issue for Bath Local Schools, which officials say has drawn notable interest.

“We're seeing real steady turnout with the school issue. It's really been busy, and we expect a lot of people out today,” said Lois Kennedy, voting location manager.

Polls remain open until 7:30 p.m. Voters who still have absentee ballots must return them to their county board of elections by that time in order for their votes to be counted.
