LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - A local non-profit needs your help in their mission that serves veterans and first responders.
Warriors Way is a veteran-owned organization that provides free recreational therapy services to veterans, first responders and youth in the form of archery, knife-making and black-smithing.
Their new home, located at 4260 Bellefontaine Road, is in need of major upgrades like new concrete flooring and much more to the property. They are asking for donations from the community to help them with repair costs to their new building.
For Warriors Way vice president Jeff Dauterman, even the smallest donation can make the biggest change to help the men and women who have served our country.

"What we're asking our community in the surrounding areas is support something local; watch all of your dollars, not just a portion of them, go to a program," said Dauterman. "Let's put our money where our mouth is, and let's support something local that is free to those that we we serve. Our veterans, our first responders, our youth - that's what you're investing in. We're not asking for donations and money, we're asking for an investment in our community's future. Join us here in Lima helping veterans, first responders. We've saved 29 lives in the time frame that we've been open. That's all that matters to us."
If you would like to donate to the non-profit, you can donate on their website or you can make a check out to Warriors Way and mail it to 4260 Bellefontaine Road, Lima Ohio, 45804.
Warriors Way is aiming at getting their repairs finished for their November expo.
