LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) –It was a wet day at the West Ohio Food Bank as they hosted a rescheduled dunk tank fundraiser for the United Way of Greater Lima.
Visitors stopped by to take a shot at dunking a brave-hearted volunteer in exchange for a donation. Even Mayor Sharetta Smith made a donation and took a few throws. It didn’t take long before the volunteer was dunked, surprising both the mayor and the participant.
The West Ohio Food Bank, which is supported by the United Way, said the event was a fun way to raise funds for their ongoing programs.
