ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - An Elida father has been indicted for murder for the death of his daughter in a car fire in September.Â
Back on September 25th, sheriff's deputies say he was spotted swerving and driving on a wheel rim.
An Allen County Grand Jury charged 33-year-old Nicholas Stemen with murder, aggravated arson, involuntary manslaughter, and endangering children. Back on September 25th, sheriff's deputies say he was spotted swerving and driving on a wheel rim. The car caught fire, and after it was put out, the body of his daughter, Lillyanna, was found in the back seat. Stemen was able to get out of the vehicle unharmed. His bond is set at one million dollars, but his lawyers have filed a motion to modify it. Stemen has a hearing scheduled for Monday.
