ANNA, Ohio (WLIO) — The Rockets continued their strong run in Midwest Athletic Conference play Friday night, rolling past Versailles 35–7.
Anna controlled the game early and built a 28–7 lead by the third quarter. Versailles tried to spark a comeback when Damien Barga returned a kickoff near midfield, but the Tigers couldn’t capitalize.
The Rockets’ defense came up big when Julian Stearns broke through the line on a high snap, sacking the quarterback to halt a Versailles drive. On offense, Anna sealed the win behind quarterback Logan Zeigenbusch, who called his own number for a touchdown run.
The Rockets avenged last season’s narrow 13–7 loss to Versailles and evened up the recent series, improving to 2–1 in their last three meetings with the Tigers.
