Armstead defendants cases move forward

The wheels of justice in a local case murder involving multiple defendants keep turning.

The first teenager transferred from Allen County Juvenile Court to Common Pleas Court has been indicted in relation to the shooting death of 16 year old Eric Armstead.

Ritchie Johnson will be arraigned on Monday on one count of 'complicity to murder' according to County Prosecutor Juergen Waldick.

Armstead was gunned down on the front porch of 620 Madison Avenue in August, 2010.

Johnson could soon be joined by Dederick Matthews, Juvenile Court Judge Glenn Derryberry will rule in the next few days whether the alleged shooter in the case should be tried as an adult.

Also, the lone adult arrested in the case, Xavier Arrick, will go on trial May 9th on one count of 'complicity to murder'.

Arrick will have a final pre-trial on April 21st.
