The terminal project at the Neil Armstrong Airport is continuing on in Auglaize County.
According to Erica Preston, the Auglaize County Administrator, the project to replace the old terminal building at the airport went out to bid, but they did not receive any bids at that time. Now, county administration is working to figure out what the next step will be to move on with the project.
"We’re at the point now that we need to probably make a decision on of one of several paths - the first thing is to re-bid as is, the second being to tweak the design a little bit and then re-bid it, or third pursue an entirely different option, which would be similar a design-build option," Preston said.
Preston says that having the project done for the 2019 anniversary of the moon landing would be the best-case scenario.
