ArtSpace/Lima hosts exhibit for Danyelle Yoder

LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - ArtSpace/Lima is honoring the work of nationally acclaimed artist Danyelle Yoder with "The Art of Resilience" exhibit.

Yoder was born in Germany and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and her pieces show human experiences  and the complexities of life through strong colors according to ArtSpace. Her work is being displayed and sold in the Ellen Nelson Gallery until Oct. 3.

ArtSpace officials said Yoder's work touches on human emotions through her usage of colors while still being abstract, and that they've been very impressed with her work.

"We've watched her work for the last three years and have seen some really nice images and textures happening," said ArtSpace executive director Sally Windle.

"When we got to her about being a part of our schedule, she gave us just what we've been looking for: pieces that are really approachable. Sometimes those things give you a lot of emotional impact, but are identifiable. We're really happy to have a collection of her work at ArtSpace."

ArtSpace/Lima will host a reception for the exhibit on Aug. 23 from 2 to 5 p.m. Yoder will be present at the reception, and selections will be provided by Light on the Corner.
