WAYNESFIELD, Ohio (WLIO) — The Ohio Water Development Authority (OWDA) has approved more than $12 million in low-interest loans for five water infrastructure projects across the state. 

The funding will support projects to improve drinking water and wastewater systems for Ohioans. Among the recipients is the village of Waynesfield, which was approved for two separate loans to replace aging infrastructure. 

The village was approved to recieve a loan for $153,766 at 4.70% for 30 years for the construction of 2,500 feet of waterline along E. Wapakoneta St. to replace aging waterlines. The village was also approved for a separate $157,319 loan at 4.7% interest for 30 years for the construction of 3,400 feet of storm sewer along E. Wapakoneta St. to replace aging sewers.
