LIMA, OH (WLIO) - As students return to school, the Mercy Health-Saint Rita's Community Impact Team wants to focus on family health.
There will be some school supplies available; they are focusing on hypertension, smoking, and vaping education.
They will be holding a Back to School Education Fair this Saturday. There will be some school supplies available; they are focusing on hypertension, smoking, and vaping education. They are encouraging families to take time to be together, to talk, and to take notice of how each of them is feeling.
The Back to School Education Fair will be this Saturday, August 10, 2024, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Mercy Health-Saint Rita's Graduate Medical Education Center.
"Just having families to be aware of things that they can look for in their children and in themselves. So they can get themselves checked out and then also be able to notify their primary care provider that they're having some challenges in that area. With smoking and vaping, what we're hoping to do is just bring awareness, provide resources, and also let the kids know that we are here to support them in any way that we can," said Anisha Hale, community health coordinator.
The Back to School Education Fair will be this Saturday, August 10, 2024, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Mercy Health-Saint Rita's Graduate Medical Education Center at 751 West Market Street. Educational information, school supplies, and refreshments will be provided.
