Foundation officials say that this kind of programming is a perfect example of the amphitheater's mission—a place where people can spend time with friends and family and enjoy all sorts of different entertainment.

"Our sponsor, Rich Rudolph, which was a big part of building the amphitheater, came to us and really wanted to host an Ohio State game here. And we have our Curtain Fall every October, and it just happened to be a night game. And so we thought it was a perfect opportunity. Just recently our big screen went up, so this is the first night we get to use it and everybody gets to enjoy it," added Carmen Cecala-Wells, the director of development for the Civic Center Foundation.
